Privacy Policy

Privacy &
Data Policy

We understand that preparing for an expedition requires you to share highly personal details, from your passport information to your medical history. Your trust is our greatest asset. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we absolutely need it to run a safe expedition and how we protect it with professional-grade security. We break this down in simple, transparent terms so you can book your adventure with complete peace of mind.

1. Our Core Privacy Promise

  • No Selling: We never sell, rent, trade or monetize your personal data to any third party.
  • Strictly Operational: We only ask for information that is legally required or vital to your physical safety on the mountain.
  • Limited Access: Your sensitive files are locked and only seen by the specific team members organizing your trip.

2. The Information We Collect & Why We Need It

To organize high-altitude wildlife expeditions in Ladakh and other part of India, we must collect specific data. Here is exactly what we collect and the precise reason we need it:

A. Personal Identification & Travel Data

  • What we collect: Full name, date of birth, nationality, passport copy and visa details.
  • Why we need it: We cannot secure your trip without this. The Indian Government, wildlife Department, state tourism departments, and forest/national park authorities legally require these documents to issue wildlife permits, inner-line permits and satellite phone registrations.

B. Medical, Health, & Fitness Information

  • What we collect: Pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, current medications, dietary restrictions and physical fitness levels.
  • Why we need it: This is for your life safety. High-altitude environments present extreme physiological challenges. Our expedition leaders and medical consultants need this data to monitor your health, prevent altitude-related illnesses (like HAPE/HACE) and prepare the correct medical kits and oxygen setups for your specific group.

C. Emergency Contact & Insurance Information

  • What we collect: Name, phone number, and relationship of your emergency contact. We also collect your travel/evacuation insurance provider policy number and emergency hotline.
  • Why we need it: In the rare event of an unforeseen incident or medical evacuation, we must instantly coordinate with your insurance provider and keep your loved ones updated without delay.

D. Digital & Payment Data

  • What we collect: Email address, phone number and billing details.
  • Why we need it: To send your gear lists, training guides, and itinerary updates. All financial transactions are processed securely through certified, encrypted payment gateways; we never store your credit card or bank login details on our servers.

3. How We Secure and Protect Your Data

We treat your personal data with the same seriousness we bring to mountain safety.

  • Encryption: Our website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Any data you type into our booking forms is scrambled and protected against hackers.
  • Restricted Digital Storage: Your digital documents (like passport scans) are stored on secure cloud servers with multi-factor authentication. They are not left on public computers or vulnerable devices.
  • Physical Shredding: If any paper copies of your permits or medical forms are printed for base camp logistics, they are securely shredded and destroyed immediately after the expedition ends.

4. Who We Share Your Data With (And Who We Don't)

We only share your information with parties directly involved in making your expedition legal and safe:

  • Government & Wildlife Officers: Local police stations (for foreigners' registration), and local forest departments for permit approvals.
  • Your Expedition Guide & Base Camp Doctor: Only relevant medical facts (like severe allergies) are shared with your guide and camp doctor so they can protect you on the route.
  • Emergency Rescue Operations: If a helicopter evacuation is required, your data is shared with the aviation charter and medical teams to expedite your rescue.

We do not share your data with third-party marketing companies, advertisers, or unrelated businesses.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Safety & Regulatory Records: We retain your basic booking history and permit confirmations to comply with Indian tax, legal, and financial auditing laws.
  • Sensitive Medical Records: Your detailed medical forms and passport scans are kept only until the expedition is successfully completed and you have safely returned home. After this, they are archived securely or deleted unless you request otherwise for future bookings.

6. Your Rights Over Your Data

You remain the absolute owner of your information. At any point, you can:

  • Review Your Data: Ask us to send you a copy of all the personal information we have on file for you.
  • Correct Information: Update any outdated passport details, medical changes or contact info.
  • Request Deletion: Ask us to erase your personal details from our active communication databases once your expedition is over.

7. Cookies and Website Browsing

Our website uses standard "cookies" (small text files) to improve your browsing experience, remember your language preferences, and analyze website traffic via tools like Google Analytics. You can easily turn off cookies in your internet browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to browse our itineraries.
