Elite Expedition is a Ladakh-based wildlife tour company led by local tracker Abdul Rashid. We specialise in ethical wildlife expeditions, including snow leopard tracking, Himalayan brown bear tours, and high-altitude photography experiences across Ladakh. Every journey supports conservation, local communities, and responsible tourism.

Elite Expedition is built on over two decades of real field experience in Ladakh, shaped by years of tracking rare Himalayan wildlife and guiding travellers across some of the region’s most remote landscapes. Led by local expert Abdul Rashid, our journey began with a deep connection to the wild and evolved into a purpose-driven wildlife expedition company. We believe meaningful wildlife travel is not about chasing sightings, but about understanding ecosystems, respecting natural behaviour, and working closely with local communities. Our expeditions across Ladakh are designed to offer authentic, responsible experiences while contributing to conservation and preserving the fragile balance of the Himalayas.

My goal is to help every guest move beyond the “perfect shot” and experience a deeper connection with the wild. Whether it's the silence of the mountains or a rare wildlife encounter, we invite you to see Ladakh not as a destination, but as a sanctuary.
Message from the Founder & CEO
I was born and raised in the high mountains of Ladakh, where nature shapes everyday life. My journey began in the mountains as a mountaineer, but over time my focus shifted towards the wildlife that survives in these extreme landscapes.
In 2009, I founded Elite Expedition to share Ladakh’s wildlife responsibly, guided by respect for nature and local communities. I continue to spend most of my time in the field, tracking wildlife alongside my team, learning from the land every day. For me, Elite Expedition is not just a company — it is a commitment to protect the wild places that shaped my life.
